Vaping360: AI Content Management

AI-powered content management for a global leader in the vaping industry.

Wanting to sort all reviewed products in a vast collection of articles into a product database, Vaping360 was confronted with scouring all of their existing publications manually to obtain product data.

I designed a fine-tuned natural language processing system which analyses articles and extracts the desired information, eliminating the need for manual classification, greatly reducing the effort required to populate the product database. With the system, Vaping360 is able to populate their product database efficiently, and even to create entirely new articles based on product data, solidifying its position in a rapidly evolving online content marketing industry.

LUMI 2: Enterprise User Management

Development and integration of a central user management system for an enterprise IT network.

Faced with a fragmented IT network, my client struggled with many different user databases across various internal websites, office PCs, and IT systems. Users having inconsistent login credentials across services caused management complexity and bad user experience.

I developed a centralised LDAP authentication server to bring all these separate accounts under one roof. With LUMI 2, a web interface tailored to the system, user configuration was greatly simplified, and I was able to significantly improve the overall security, scalability, and efficiency of the client's IT environment.

Medwings: Future Mobile Health

Research and implementation of a mobile early warning system for high risk patients.

Hospitals struggling with high intensive care patient load, like during the COVID-19 pandemic or other public health emergencies, are often unable to establish comprehensive patient monitoring, due to limited availability of bedside equipment and staff. This challenge motivated my research and development of Medwings, a prototype web-based patient monitoring and early warning system.

Using a network of wearable medical sensors to monitor vital signs, Medwings calculates a predictive patient risk indicator using a clinically proven early warning score to identify and alert carers to patients at risk of and imminent critical decline in health. It enables triaging large numbers of patients in situations with limited staff and hospital beds and offers flexibility for use at home, potentially allowing earlier discharge from hospital.
